The genius of Burton's Mind

" For the talented director of 'The Chocolate Factory', 'Edward Scissorhands', 'Corpse Bride' and other titles have become classics of contemporary cinema, to preside over the jury of the Festival is a great honor. Having spent my youth watching the three programs together and do marathons in 48 hours of horror films, I feel ready for Cannes. "

Here's a preview of the latest work by Tim Burton

Who wonders why the choice fell on ' prodigy movie gothic, management responds, calling it "a filmmaker with a heart of gold and silver hands." It will be a president "both surprising and obvious" and thanks "to his gentle humor to his madness and gothic the Croisette will be like Christmas Day. But perhaps I should say Halloween, "jokes the president Gilles Jacob of the festival in Cannes trying to figure burtoniana version.
Certainly there will be pumpkins, skeletons, cats and blacks. But they are all willing to bet that the atmosphere will be less classical than last year, when presiding over the jury had been called the French actress Isabelle Huppert.

Dizziness That Becomes Worse In The Afternoon

Sartiglia

Video

drums incessantly taxiing, the Knight is wearing the mask of a mysterious God and holding the sword straight ahead. It stands on the saddle as the horse dashes at breakneck speed on the runway at the gallop. A few seconds later, the roar of the audience accompanies the tip of the foil that pierces the star. It's done. The people cheer On Cumpoidori and rejoice before the trophy shown with pride and joy.
Immagini della Sartiglia

is how the last Sunday and Tuesday of Carnival, every year, Oristano became the capital of Sardinia. There is Sartiglia. Feast of a thousand symbols, the feast of magic, prosperity and misery, pain and hope.
Foto dal libro -Sagre di Sardegna- ed. L'Unione Sarda

Sulcis Iglesiente ...

IL PARCO GEOMINERARIO

L’area del  Sulcis lies in the south-west over an area of \u200b\u200babout 1,450 sq km, an integral part of the wider geographical region of historical Sulcis-Iglesiente. It takes its name from the ancient Punic city of Sulci Sulcis or Sant'Antioco today. The
Sulcis itself corresponds to the south-west of the mountains of Sulcis and the plain below to the coast overlooking the Strait of Sardinia, from the Gulf of Gonnesa at Cape Teulada, including geographical affinity for the islands of San Pietro and Sant 'Antioco.
The geology is complex because of its ancient origins dating back to about six hundred million years (Cambrian): the morphology is characterized by measurements of low altitude between 600 and 900 meters, with the exception of some peaks over 1000 meters spared from erosion surface magmatic intrusion and metamorphic Hercynian orogeny first originated. The western side is softened by erosion and flooding while the inner part of the eastern side is more rugged and uneven. In the western side are the oldest formations and carbonate island karst phenomena (caves Zuddas).

events subsequent to the Carboniferous and the Permian, represented post-Hercynian erosion and tectonic uplift of the Cenozoic resulted in the emergence of magma intrusion (leucograniti) and metamorphic (schists), making it uneven and irregular morphology of the eastern section.
The highest peaks, easily observable from the flat Cixerri, the Middle Campidano Iglesias and surveys, can be identified easily in the solid monolithic Monte Arcosu with trapezoidal profile and jagged peaks of Mount Lattias. Farther west is the triangular profile of Mount Isa Caravius; formations further west culminating with smooth contours and Punta del Monte Orri Orbai. The area includes the territories
appartenenti ai comuni di Assemini, Calasetta, Capoterra, Carbonia , Carloforte, Decimomannu, Domus De Maria, Giba, Masainas, Narcao, Nuxis, Perdaxius, Portoscuso, Piscinas, Pula, Santadi, Sant’Anna Arresi, Sant’Antioco, San Giovanni Suergiu, Sarroch, Siliqua , Teulada, Tratalias, Villamassargia, Villaperuccio, Villasor, Villa San Pietro e Uta. Anche in quest’area del parco l’attività mineraria è stata molto intensa soprattutto a partire dalla metà del 1.800, raggiungendo il culmine negli anni cinquanta/sessanta arrivando alla definitiva loro chiusura negli anni settanta e ottanta.

In between there are numerous mining sites which deserve special mention for their importance giacimentologica, Serbariu of the coal (carbon) and to those metal Rosas (Narcao), Orba (Villamassargia) . Other sites less complex in terms of the size of the ore body, but just as interesting to the mineralogical characteristics are those of San Leone (Capoterra), Head Beak (Carlisle), Sa Marchesa (Nuxis). The
Sulcis also has an interesting geological-natural heritage due to the presence of nature reserves (Monte Arcosu), natural monuments (LR n. 31 of 06/07/1989) as columns (Carlisle), Domo andesitic Acquafredda (siliqua), sites of Community importance Promontory, Wetland and Dune Porto Pino (Sant'Anna Arresi) Wetland Is Pruinus (Sant'antioco).
Numerous archaeological sites in the presence of Sulcis deserve special mention including the necropolis of Montessu (Villaperuccio), Pani Loriga (Santadi), Phoenician-Punic fortress of Monte Sirai (coal), Archaeological Area Sant'Antioco.

Nuraghi UNESCO Persian

From the vast plains of the Campidano rugged limestone mountains of Gallura Barbaricino up inland ... The harmony of a primitive guttural throughout Sardinia became part of a heritage World ... In 2005, UNESCO has protected the tenor singing Sardo as intangible heritage of humanity and intangible ... The news about the dating of the origins of this song are too vague to allow a precise chronology: some accounts, dating back to ' pre-Christian era, mentions a mysterious four-part song, performed by prisoners of Rome from the hinterland; But there who traces the birth of the content even Nuragico Period, other points of view lead us to assume alternative hypotheses than previous, but no document provides concrete news ... Speaking of tenor singing, it can often happen to come across in an incorrect use of terminology that covers this type of art. The same use of "Canto a Tenor" is often confused with "Song to Tenores. You may think that the tenor are the four members of the choir, but it is not. These elements are in fact called Boghes on content and form (singular). The term "Sos tenor" instead it goes to show the diversity of groups that perform this type of song. In other cases "On content" will denote the set of "bassu", "contra" and "mesu 'oghe, therefore, acts to accompany' sa 'oghe.
"Under" comes from the Latin "Ad tenorem", or in a continuous and sustained tone of voice. This indicates the characteristic repetitive accompaniment de su level. Other terms are as follows:
"Cuncordu" which derives from the Latin "Cum Cordum, literally, with heart, with feeling, with Harmony;
" Cuntrattu "derives from the Latin" Cum Tractum ", with transport means and melody ( which trattu, traju, traviu)
"cuntzertu '" or "Ussertu", from the Latin "Cum Sero, or is about to weave with the track ... And that's directly from the history of Sardinia is unfortunately not recognized as it should, and comes up to us a testimony of ancient human Sardinian ....
And here directly from UNESCO English channel promotional video of this old song:
